A few nail polishs I would like to try

There are a few nail polishes I would like to try first off. There's a brand called Cheeky monkey, with very cute bottles! The colors also have cute names and it's a three free nail polish I believe.

It is a bit more expensive then most, I think its around $15 per bottle but I find with most higher up nail polish brands they're between 12 to 18 dollars a bottle anyways.
I also really want to try Butter London, It's also a three free nail polish. They are more expensive, around 18 dollars a bottle.   http://www.butterlondon.ca/drupal/
 They also have some super cute nail stickers I want to try! But I have never actually tied nail stickers at all, so maybe I should start with some Sally Hansen ones first.

There are some other brands I would like to try but those are the top ones. I would also like to try some Debra Lipman and Channel ones but maybe I'll wait until I'm rich for those ones. They aren't actually hat expensive but maybe a bit much for me.

I'm on the search for a good mascara!

So recently I've been looking for a good mascara because I feel I've never been completely satisfied with any mascara. I usually just use two or three at the same time, each one doing one thing (aka one will lengthen, one that will make them thicker, one that will separate, etc.) I feel this may be a little bit high maintenance. So anyways, I recently tried Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara.http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/badgal-lash-mascara
I bought mine from ebay because I'm cheap and there's not really a place to buy Benefit Cosmetics in Nanaimo. You can get a few things but not a lot.

Anyways, I wanted to give you guys a review of it. I've noticed that mostly everyone who tries this mascara loves it but I must admit, I am not the biggest fan. It's alright, I will be using it until I get my next mascara to try in the mail. I have very long lashes, and I find that they're really light on the ends so I really like to coat them several times. When I do this with this mascara I find that it is really clumpy on the ends of my lashes, which I do not like. I find that when I use this mascara all my lashes stick together, which sucks. I want a mascara that separates my lashes because I want them to look more full. I also find for this mascara, there are giant areas on the brush that are coated with way too much mascara, which causes more clumping. I will admit however; this mascara is better then most that I have tried. I just am not completely satisfied. Also, I'm not sure if this is normal (and this isn't really a complaint, its just something I've noticed) but when I take it off, instead of kind of just smudging off into the cotton pad, this mascara slides off my lashes in clumps. It kinds of reminds me of the way liquid latex is when you take it off. It's really odd. I think that is all for today. My new obsession: Nail Polish

                          So, I will apologize for my not so graceful hand positions/hand modelling. But here is a combo of... I'm not exactly sure. Its something by China Glaze, like a turquoise. I got them painted at the nail place when they were removing my fake nails. The top color I painted on later, it's Rainbow in the S-Kylie by Nicole by OPI its from the Kardasian (or however you spell their last name) collection.

Hey guys,

So I've decided to do like a "nail of the day" type thing once and a while. I want to do this because I just got my fake nails off because they weren't really me and I feel this is way more me then that. I have a slight nail polish obsession but it only really started recently. I've always been one to paint my toe nails but now I love to paint my finger nails too! Also, I totally need to practice, since I am going to go to school to be an esthetition.

Week 5, only a bit different.

So, now I am trying to save up for christmas presents; which means, I need to save money. SO this week I bought my items from forever twenty one, I just bought some staple items and one that I really like. So, here they are:

I've been feeling really sick yesterday and today so yes, Soon I will do it!

So this is my review for my week two items. I love the dress sooooo much! The bolero is pretty cool too. Everything you need to know is in the video. Week 4

This week I did some ebay shopping and I decided to go for more of a fall look.


First I bought a Bettie Page Dress from ebay. I looked on websites for this dress and found it most places for about 130.00 dollars and I paid about 60 for it, so even though I was hoping for something cheaper I still feel like I got a good deal. And then, I went to gojane.com just to look around and I found  a cape jacket, which I know it more of a sixties look but it was cheap for a coat and super pretty and I feel still pin uppy (especially with the dress). So this is my "Wizard Wanda" costume by Dream Girl, I think it retails for around 70 dollars but I bought it on ebay for like 30. I love it! It is super short though, but wonderful and good!

Week 1: The review

Hi guys,

So this is my review from week one, the video is here and there are some pictures as well. I do like this dress but as I said in the video I do have a few complaints, I will wear it for sure, its super cute but I just don't like the fit all that much and I had imagined it to be longer, although I am 6'1'' so really it may actually be my fault for assuming that. I don't think I will be wearing it with a petticoat as I assumed I would be. If you want to know more the rest is on the video but yeah.

Halloween costume #1

So this is my first costume, it's by Charades and its an Alice costume, the thigh highs are by Leg Avenue. I think it was around fifty dollars. Sorry for my messy appearance, I had been working in this all day and my petticoat was coming out.

Also and update, I've decided to do video blogs as the review for the items from my weeks. I have now received part of the outfit for week two but still no week one! Hopefully it will be sometime this week.

My new shoes! The review

As some of you may remember, a couple of weeks ago I ordered some sailor shoes from ebay and now THEY HAVE ARRIVED!!! They are beautiful, I might add.

Okay, now for the review:
I love these shoe and have been coveting them for weeks but I have to be honest, they are really uncomfortable. Its possibly because I never wear heals and these ones are probably four inches (I know it doesn't look like it in the pictures, my boyfriend was standing while taking them) but still wow. But they are SO BEAUTIFUL! Therefore I still think they were worth my money.

 I know these shoe are meant to be worn as a costume but I just think they are so worth wearing other times!  And by the way, those are anchors on the bow at the front!  Also, if you are considering buying anything from this brand, Be Warned: they fit small!

Week two!

New glasses!

Okay, so none of these glasses are very pin up but I got a really good deal on them. I got them from www.zennioptical.com. I got all four pairs of them for around 50 bucks with the prescription included! Let me know what you guys think!

I went shopping (again)

Okay, so today's shopping trip only cost me a total of 17 dollars. So not a big deal. But I got that cute skirt above and the cardigan which is pretty plain and the earrings!

The skirt is about mid calve length and I'm fairly sure its hand painted with some people on donkeys and houses and cacti.I would say all in all pretty sweet and it still has tags on! The cardigan is just a black long sleeved dealio. And the earrings are made of metal. Also, as you can see I went to the local value village. Also, I can wear my petticoat under it! which is one of my new favorite things to do.

I thought I would let you guys know that I plan to buy some accessories with my new outfit this Friday. I think I'm going to get them from http://holdingacesonline.com/. I think I may be in love with the starwars stuff and so will my man! Plus, all of it is so cute and super affordable! the most expensive thing I could find on there was 13 dollars.

Oh thrifting

Today I bought a dress from a consignment/thrift shop in Victoria. The store is called The Patchhttp://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-patch-victoria. I bought this dress there and i think its beautiful. Although, I did not realized until I got it home that the bottom was unfinished and still had pins in it! I'm working on it now there and should have it finished soon. The petticoat and belt are mine, the did not come with the dress. What do you guys think of the belt?

Something I bought a while ago

I purchased the red full brief and the orange and blue thong. Now since I just live a ferry ride away from Vancouver (where the seller is) I received them after just a few days! I do love them! They're cute and good quality and the best part is: they don't do that annoying thing where they fit you at first and then begin to grow as the day goes on. There is a reason why I usually only buy from certain underwear companies and that reason is: I am very particular about them.

Also, I am very excited because they make me feel pretty even though no one can see them or know they're there but me! And alright, also my man. I plan to wear them under my playboy bunny costume next week at work!

Also another little thing I have discovered is a little shop on ebay that sells some pretty good pin up stuff. The prices are looking pretty good but I have yet to check and see if they are that much less then the actual stores. A Pin Up A Week: Week One!

Hi there,
My name is Allison and I have decided to start a project for myself. Once a week I am going to buy an item from a pin up type clothing website (once a week) and once I receive it from the website I will review it for you guys.  So, I am new to this whole pin up thing but I think it will be a lot of fun!
